  • Over a month later...

So, a month later (in no particular order):

    • I was assistant stage manager for the studio show "Another Antigone" at TCU.
    • I was cast in Bard On The Rocks: Macbeth's Witches Scene at TCU as Witch #3. (Last year I was Witch #1.)
    • I quit Texas De Brazil.
    • I got my nose pierced.
    • I changed my major to BFA Theatre with an emphasis in Film/TV with a minor in either education or arts administration.
    • I changed my major back.
    • I changed my major again. (To what? I don't know!)
    • I'm applying to go to London this summer with Theatre.
    • I went to ACL with Mitchell and fell in love with Austin...again.
    • I was elected as Business Manager/Secretary for Alpha Psi Omega.
    • I was appointed an assistant producer and a grip position for two different film shorts.
    • I dropped French.
    • I had my first equity audition. (Haha, THAT was funny.)
    • Had my first "Denton" experience with Jamie and Blake.
    • Went to my first Toga party.
    • I was cast in a directing project, directed by THE Lolly Patrick!
    • Bought tickets to an Ani DiFranco concert in Austin next wednesday.
    • Broke my phone.
    • Joined USITT
    • Met some awesome freshman, and fell in love with my '09ers again.
    • Said outloud that I "like TCU" and plan on staying for four years.

I'll let you know if anything else exciting happens. Maybe in a month or so.

Oh, and we're reading Dante in Lit and Civ, so I took this test. Made me laugh.
It's just interesting that I'm in Limbo, or in the 8th circle, reserved for liars.
(I said I was a good liar because I'm an actor, come on....)

The Dante's Inferno Test has sent you to the First Level of Hell - Limbo!

Here is how you matched up against all the levels:
    (Level | Score)
    Purgatory | Moderate
    Level 1 - Limbo | High
    Level 2 | Low
    Level 3 | Moderate
    Level 4 | Very Low
    Level 5 | Low
    Level 6 | Low
    Level 7 | Moderate
    Level 8 | High
    Level 9 | Low
    Take the test:

  • Weird...just too weird...

I just keep coming back with scary pictures.....

Okay, on Saturday, May 13th, at 11:51pm, I took this picture of Mitchell Dodd.
    101911210_325504541_0.jpg

Note the placement of the guitar, his hat, his arm. No big deal, right? Just something I used as my background for awhile.

This is where it gets weird...
    dun dun DUNNNNNN.

So, on Monday, August 21, 2006 at 2:34pm, my mom and I were at Wal-Mart buying some stuff for my dorm room. A whole THREE MONTHS after I took the previous unpublished photo.

Look what Wal-Mart is printing on their pillows....

I just keep thinking of that scene in Troop Beverly Hills where the troop leader screams, "He permed me!" and all the girls start screaming. I nearly screamed when I saw it.

Shows you big brother is watching all the time.

    Eerie? I think so.

I'm off to callbacks, wish me luck!

  • Girl Anachronism

    a·nach·ro·nism  n.

    1. The representation of someone as existing or something as happening in other than chronological, proper, or historical order.
    2. One that is out of its proper or chronological order, especially a person or practice that belongs to an earlier time: “A new age had plainly dawned, an age that made the institution of a segregated picnic seem an anachronism” (Henry Louis Gates, Jr.).

This is a picture from my Uncle Charlie's wedding in 1944. Adorable, right?

    Uncle Charlie

    Look closer....in the back.

    UncleCharlieJess

It's me. Same hair, same eyes, same jaw, same face. See?

    UncleCharlie001
(That's a picture of Mitch and I in my senior year at CiCi's. Need I remind you that is 2004, not 1944.)

What's even scarier is that she's wearing a black veil at a wedding. And no one in my family knows who she was or what she was doing there.

So, respect your elders, you dig?
    See you all on Friday!

3 weeks until my sister's wedding.
    The insanity begins.

  • I build each one of my days out of hope
and I give that hope your name
and I don't know you that well
but it don't take much to tell
either you don't have the balls
or you don't feel the same.
